Financials & FundraisingWhat is a donor-advised fund and how do donations from DAFs work?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a giving account managed by a sponsoring charity (such as a community foundation) where donors recommend grants. From your perspective, a DAF grant is simply a charitable contribution from the sponsoring organization, usually with a note identifying the recommending donor.
